Creating a Path—Hand in Hand.

Holding extensive field experience across various mental health arenas, each staff member at the Unscripted School of Healing began their journey with a sincere desire to touch the human heart and make a difference.

While years of rigorous academic programs provided insights into psychological concepts, clinical theories, techniques, diagnosis codes, and well-researched strategies; working within a conceptual framework that informs the therapeutic relationship, we often found we could only temporarily help "fix" the issues creating disharmony. Healing requires us to surrender, travel to the source of our issues, and unlearn rigid concepts that have shaped our ways of interacting with the world.

It all begins with a confidential phone session with Director and Founder, Moe Ross. During this call, we will work together to determine if you would benefit from working with our team. From there, we will create a path—side by side, hand in hand.

Meet The Unscripted Team

  • Moe Ross

    FOUNDER + DIRECTOR

Known by Fortune 500 executives and visionaries for her thought leadership as an accelerator, Moe has built her career by challenging the status quo and inspiring deep shifts in perspective. With over 45 years of practice across the public and private sectors, Moe has garnered a breadth of institutional knowledge and a depth of experiences that have led her to bust veils that stagnate transformation within traditional paradigms.

Having walked alongside renowned global teachers from the east to the west, Moe’s life has been committed to expanding the interpretation of the human journey to an awareness of recurring patterns from an evolutionary point of view. Since opening a residential retreat center outside of Chicago in 1995, Moe has been providing a different level of healing to clients, facilitating individualized intensives, and training multidisciplinary professionals who want to widen their lens on various forms of healing.

When she lost her eyesight in 2003, she was challenged to find the place deep inside her that was "happy with, and happy without" eyesight. It was also suggested that her migraine headaches were in part happening to help her see she was not following my grain in the tight box of her career as a top administrator at the University of Wisconsin. She was told, "Moe, your energy is bigger than this container." As the Director and Founder of the Unscripted School of Healing, Moe is on a mission to offer, to those who want it, a glimpse into what lies outside of the container.

  • Connee Meschini

    INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY THERAPIST

Connee has accomplished so much in her life that when you hear or read her resume, you will likely feel a little overwhelmed. She was born on a Midwest farm, where she learned the value of hard work and was the first woman to be hired by the Illinois Tollway Maintenance Department to run a jackhammer and drive a snowplow.

She moved on to spend over 40 years in the social services field: Executive Director of the Pioneer Center, establishing 8 group homes, Community Education Director at MCC, Public Relations Director at Sunrise Assistant Living, President of the McHenry County Mental Health Board, serve on the board of the Substance Abuse Coalition, member of the Dawn Breakers Rotary and the Woman's Club of Crystal Lake, and counselor in the areas of Substance Abuse, Process Addictions, and Grief Counseling. In addition, she has experience working with seniors, adolescents, adults, and people with IDD, mental health issues, and substance abuse…. On and on.

When she asked about joining the Unscripted School of Healing’s staff, it was clear that the fuel for Connee’s heartbeat is helping to inspire others to get unstuck from whatever is holding them back from the life they want to live. Drawing from formal training and education, as well as years of experience in various social services roles, she understands what it takes to understand and move through the habitual patterns that can make a mess of our lives. Connee is tenacious and seasoned enough to meet you where you are at and start from that collaborative place where you feel understood and then figure out, together, a path that sparks joy in your life. She knows how to uncomplicate what may feel enormously complicated and offer a variety of resources and tools and a whole lot of love.
